One year of Short Corner Media: The wins, the learnings & World Cup fever ⚽️
2025 was our first full year running Short Corner Media.
It was quite a year. We learned a lot about working outside corporate walls. We enjoyed the flexibility of working independently, handpicking interesting projects, and collaborating with great people.
Here a few goals we did score in 2025:
✅ OKC For Soccer — Managed all the marketing and PR for one of the most ambitious soccer projects in the country. A year of careful community building with club president Court Jeske culminated with the launch of the 1910 Founders Club in December. Result? 2,000+ season ticket deposits in just 5 days for a team that doesn't play for two years.
✅ "MLS Field Notes" — Reconnected with longtime collaborator Calen Carr to produce “Field Notes" for Major League Soccer & Coca-Cola — a social-first video series designed to capture what’s special about American soccer culture.
✅ "Summer of 94" — Consulted on the upcoming film about the 1994 World Cup with Copper Pot Pictures, Delirio Films, and Imagine Entertainment & Television.
✅ Inswinger Clothing — Our biggest "outside-the-comfort-zone" project. We learned about everything from DTG printing to tariffs. It’s a work in progress with our friend GianMarco Pascarella, and we have some new ideas for 2026.
We also experimented with AI-generated videos, e-commerce websites, and new social engagement tools — while balancing these with IRL activations like fan meet-ups and raising a flagpole in OKC. Because tech only gets you part of the way there. The fundamental power of soccer is its ability to connect us. Soccer fandom is a feeling, not a transaction.

What’s next? Well, it's a World Cup year. We’ve already got some World Cup projects in the works — and we’re looking to collaborate on more of them.
